Mtskheta-jvari Gori-uplistsikhe – (AED 159 per person)
We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and start our tour by visiting Mtskheta and see it’s historical monuments that are on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Will see Jvari monastery, which overlooks the town of Mtskheta and the confluence of the rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. Will have guided tour of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Then take off to Gori to visit the museum of Stalin. After lunch will get to Uplistsikhe, which is located at the left bank of Mtkvari River and has been entirely carved into a massive cliff. This is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. Strategically located in the heartland of the ancient kingdom of Kartli. Built, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures. Will drive back to Tbilisi later in the evening and drop you back off to your hotel.
Mtskheta -the first capital of Georgia. We will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral XI c. Where is buried the robe of Jesus Christ? From the Jvari monastery of the VII century, there is an unforgettable view to two rivers flowing together Mtkvari and Aragvi. Gori- an ancient city located on the Silk Way.Among the ancient sights of Gori-the ruins of an ancient fortress.Goristsihe- located on a hill in the city center. In Gori was Born Joseph Stalin. There is also the Statehouse Museum of Stalin. Uplistsikhe-the most ancient cave city hewed in a rock, from IV centuries B.C.
